About

BERM Explained - by Melanie Reynolds, Founder & CEO

The BERM Riding Wear dream was born one Saturday afternoon on the mountain bike trails of Far North Queensland, Australia.  Myself and my friend, Amanda talked and dreamed about a fresh, new look in the world of mountain biking apparel! Envisioning colour, artwork and unconventional design ideas to create “the new riding wear experience”!

BERM Riding Wear started in 2020 by leaping into the development of women’s specific mountain biking wear BERM BUMS™, designed for women by women. The BERM BUMS™ intention is to compliment a woman's shape and provide her ultimate comfort & performance. BERM will have a unique and coherent look and fit, and will be widely recognised by the stand out one-of-a-kind street artwork that I designed in the early stages. Our women’s specific BERM BUMS™ riding apparel hits the market in 2021.

During brand development the BERM artwork became quickly recognised which prompted me to experiment with new and unexpected colour variations, and create an exciting range of custom BERM printed mudguards Growing support inspired further creations of fun and exciting BERM men’s jerseys, kid’s jerseys, cycling sleeves, caps and tees! Our super fun and colourful range of BERM BRATS™ apparel for kids and youths launches in December 2020.

BERM Riding Wear is about inspiration, empowerment, confidence & community. My vision for the BERM brand is that it promotes adventure, shared experiences, mental wellness and fun!

As part of our community engagement we are excited to support our first crew of young (and not so young) inspiring mountain bike racers in 2021 with the launch of our BERM Racing initiative. Follow @berm_racing on Instagram and check out some of our other cool community contributions below.

Enjoy “the new riding wear experience” and Happy Riding!
